Redback Malt- Gladfield (NZ)
A specialty malt made by Gladfield, used to produce a beautiful red, ruby colour in the beer. Prepared using a special process before it is added to the roaster until Maillard reactions take place. Provides a nice malty dried fruit and toasted flavour to the beer. Can be used up to 15% in a grain bill along with other base malts. Using this malt can also improve head retention in the final product.
