An oldie but a goody, Cascade has been a mainstay of craft brewing for decades and is often used as a universal substitute when other varieties can’t be found. As a dual-purpose hop, countless beers have used Cascade as either the sole hop variety or blended with other types for extra depth.

Aroma notes: Floral, citrus, grapefruit

Alpha Acids         5.5 – 9%

Beta Acids           6 – 7.5%

Cohumulone      30 – 35% of Alpha Acids

Total Oil               0.8 – 2.5 ml oil per 100 g cone weight

Myrcene              45 – 60%

Humulene           14 – 20%

Caryophyllene   5 – 9%

Farnesene           6 – 9%
